What is a Poem? - A Poem

Is any poet’s repertoire complete without a poem about poetry? I’m not sure about putting a question in my title, but the whole poem is describing what a poem is. I can’t remember when I started writing it. I think that the first verse was inspired by a different poem put at the front of a novel. The remainder my have been after an English lesson about different types of poems. Never let it be said that my sources of inspiration are subtle!
