About Elizabeth

Elizabeth was born into a military family and spent her childhood on Canada’s east coast. She spent most of her time with her nose in books and her head in the clouds.

Elizabeth had her first publication in Grade 7 when her poem “Sisterhood” was selected for a local anthology A Dragonfly Summer. She joined the military out of high school and trained as a nurse. After leaving the military she became a nurse scientist, earning her Master’s of Science and her Ph.D. Her proudest accomplishment while studying was getting the Advances in Nursing Science journal to publish an article that refers to a jetpack.

In her spare time, Elizabeth is a foster parent with her local Family and Children’s Services. This has given her the chance to work with many wonderful teens who have plenty to say about the stories she writes.
